Using 'Sniffers' and other specialist equipment we can monitor your network and
determine where bottlenecks and conflicts occur, and offer recommendations to overcome these. As more and more demands are
placed on your network,
like live streaming video, a simple ‘flat” layer 2 network will struggle
to cope. Even a network with gigabit links between switches will not necessarily support the increased bandwidth requirements,
and so it is important to understand the type of network traffic traversing your network, and the how you can best prioritise
the flow.
Many of our customers have been surprised when we point out the types of traffic
on their network, and this has often lead to a complete re-think of whether they need to retain certain applications which
are causing bottlenecks. By simply removing one application, or confining it to one segment of the network, a network can
be flowing freely again. But if this is not applicable, the implementation of Layer 3 or 4 switches configured to prioritise
the traffic will normally provide an ideal solution.
