Frequently Asked Questions

Qu. How are we able to offer such an extensive range of products and services?

Ans. It's a good question.  Quite simply, we have considerable experience in the industry and work with like-minded partners who meet our strict criteria, based both on technical ability and customer ethics.  We utlilise additional resources depending on the type of work we are doing but unlike many of our competitors who simply pass it over to a third party, or 'contract it out' to sub-contractors, we Project Manage every aspect of the work we do and make ourselves fully accountable and responsible.

This is the key to ensuring we deliver high quality work to every client and by ensuring we are the sole point of contact for our clients, we are able to offer a seamless delivery.

Qu. Tell me more about your Project Management?

Ans. Imagine you are building your own house.  You have decided on which tradesman you are going to use for each aspect of the build and each one specialises in their own particular skill.  However, if they all turned up on the first day there would be much confusion as some tradesman won’t be able to do their work until another one has finished. For example, the roofers can’t put on the roof tiles until the carpenters have built the roof.  They in turn can’t build the roof until the bricklayers have built the walls. The bricklayers can't build the walls until the foundations have been laid. And so on. So you need someone to co-ordinate the tradesman at the appropriate times.

We operate in a similar way but go one step further.  Our strength is that we have our own 'in house' internal skill sets in a number of key areas and we have a good understanding of many aspects of IT networking, storage and security built up over the 20 years we have been in business.  We have excellent logistics, installation, configuration, purchasing experience as well as many successful completed projects under our belts.

However, we recognise that to offer our clients a truly comprehensive service we need to bring in specialised partners who can bring the added depth to the solutions being put forward and this is our strength.

Qu.  Do you visit customer premises?

Ans.  Of course !  We regularly have meetings at clients’ premises as in many cases it is important to see existing equipment or office layouts before we can produce the design. We also find it of great benefit to meet all the people involved in the project as well as gain a thorough understanding of their business needs and the benefits they are seeking to obtain.

Qu.  What guarantee do you offer?

Ans.  All hardware we supply is covered by the manufacturers own warranty. However, unlike many of our competitors, we handle any faults or hardware breakdown during the warranty period.  Our high level customer service means we handle the collection and return of faulty hardware to the manufacturer and arrange for replacements (or advance replacements) to be delivered to you.  Clients with Support and Maintenance contracts* will have an agreed service level in place with an engineer delivering a replacement and installing it.

* contracts are an optional extra.

As an ISO 9001 approved company, we only work with similar approved partners to work with us. As such, all installation, configuration and support work carried out by us or one of our partners is guaranteed through us with full after sales support for total peace of mind.

Qu. Are you always competitive?

Ans. The very nature of our work where there are a variety of services, support and product supply means that our role is to add value for our clients and give them real benefits. We look to ensure all work is competitively priced and it is refreshing to know that there are many areas where we do not make a charge, ie. initial meetings, appraisals, draft proposals as well as travelling time for engineers.  We will always produce a written quotation so all parties are very clear about the costs involved and where extra work is involved then we will quote before any work is started and request written confirmation from our clients.

Whilst we may not always appear on face value to be the cheapest for any hardware or components, by factoring in the extra services we offer (sanity check, preconfiguration, pre and post sales support, warranty handling etc), then it is usually very clear hat the total offering is very competitive and very often, with few, if any, competitors.

Qu.  Are you insured?

Ans.  We have full public liability insurance for working on clients' premises and we always check to ensure any of our partners working on our behalf have this as well.

Qu. What makes you different from other companies?

Ans.  A very good question and one which is difficult to answer in a simple FAQ page like this one.  In summary, there are several key areas where we stand out as follows:

Adding Value – this is a major part of our company philosophy and one we always look to provide.  Our objective is to find ways where we can add true value for our clients that in turn will have a major benefit to them. We want to do more than simply do the job in hand and if there is a better way we can deliver the system and it can exceed the original specification or remit then we feel we have delivered on our promise.

Innovation and creativity – there are nearly always more than one way to approach a new project and we aim to put forward several options based on different criteria, eg, cost, performance, return on investment etc.

Dedicated Support – we ensure we dedicate key staff, be it an individual or a team, to a client or a specific project, ensuring there is a continued supply of information and knowledge thus preventing delays or additional costs.
